Super easy and quick Lebkuchen - Gingerbread. The whole house will smell like Christmas as soon as this soft and moist bake comes out of the oven. It's perfect for breakfast, a snack, or a sweet after-dinner treat.
Whisk together flour, sugar, gingerbread spice, cacao powder, and baking powder in a large bowl.
Add milk and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined!
Pour the batter on the baking sheet. Then, with a spatula, evenly spread it out.
Put it in the cold oven. Turn on the oven to 356°F or 180°C.
Bake for 30-40 minutes.
Let it cool for half hour before you cut into it.
Notes
It's important not to preheat your oven before putting the Lebkuchen in.Wrap leftover Lebkuchen with aluminum foil and keep it out on the counter. Lebkuchen stays good for three days. You can also freeze it for up to two months.
